Cylindrical base made of anodized metal with bronze shavings.
Doesn't require regular wetting, unlike cellulose sponges.
The soldering iron tip can be easily cleaned of solder and flux residues without damaging the surface, which is especially important for durable chrome tips.
The advantage of the dry cleaning method over the wet cleaning method is also that the temperature of the tip does not decrease, and there is no thermal shock load on the chrome coating. Dry cleaning significantly extends the life of soldering iron tips and tips.
The metal body of the device is non-flammable, not electrified, i.e. anti-static and meets fire safety requirements.
