LED strip is a light source assembled on the basis of LEDs. It is a flexible printed (wiring) board with LEDs equidistant from each other.
The LED strip operates on direct current and is connected to a constant voltage, usually 12 V, less often 24 V and 5 V. Therefore, to connect the LED strip to the power supply, a converting power supply is additionally required.
Many tapes have double-sided tape on the back, which makes it easy to attach to almost any surface
Compact size, large gamut of colors and low power consumption have determined the widespread use of LED strip. Interior lighting of houses and apartments (ceilings, floor, perimeters of premises, arches and niches), exterior design (outlines of buildings, fountains, pools, architectural elements), advertising lighting, automotive design, furniture lighting - all these are areas where you can apply and use LED strips.
Sealed (waterproof) LED strips and cords with IP6X are used for external illumination of buildings and structures and for signaling on roads (including for placement on vehicles), and are also used in rooms with high humidity.
