A device of this type is used in various audio and video installations, stabilizers, lighting systems. The main difference between this design and other devices is the number of windings and the shape of the core. Physicists believe that the ring shape is the ideal execution of the anchor. In such a case, the winding of the toroidal transformer is carried out uniformly, as is the distribution of heat. Thanks to this arrangement of the coils, the converter cools quickly and even with intensive work does not require the use of coolers.
The advantages of toroidal transformers in comparison with classical transformers (such as ШЛ, ПЛ, and Ш-shaped):
- The smaller size of the transformer will allow you to reduce the size and weight of the installed equipment, and will also help engineers who have limited space for layout
- The use of a toroidal transformer allows for a lower final cost
