Dielectric varnish PVB 16 5 l.
Manufacturer:AG TermoPasty, Poland.

Universal varnish for protecting printed circuit boards, transformer windings and electric motors.
The viscosity of this modification of PVB varnish is optimal for spray application.
Fast drying transparent PVB coating with good insulating properties. Protects printed circuit boards and other elements operating in adverse atmospheric conditions from corrosion. The coating protects printed circuit boards from stray currents and short circuits.
Highly fluid, penetrates well into porous structures, fills microcracks.

Attention! The viscosity of PVB 16 varnish is 21 cP. This is the only difference from PVB 60 varnish, whose viscosity is 50 cP.
  • forms a protective and insulating layer that protects against atmospheric influences such as: moisture, oxidation, dust, chemical pollution
  • adheres well to metal, plastic and wooden surfaces
  • forms a layer resistant to liquefied acids, alkalis and atmospheric factors
  • soldering through a layer of varnish is possible
  • prevents sparking and corona discharge
  • limits breakdowns between tracks
  • does not change transparency and elasticity even after a long period of application
  • application temperature range: from -40°C to +60°C
  • operating temperature: -50°C+150°C
  • ignition temperature: 380°C
  • viscosity at 20°C: 21 cP
Application:
Insulates and protects electronic boards and modules, cables and wires, high voltage transformers, windings of electric motors.
In the automotive industry to avoid short circuits.
In energy and electromechanics to create a protective layer.

Recommendations for applying varnish:
Before application, the surface must be cleaned of dirt, grease, etc. Apply by brush, dip or spray. Spray applied from a distance of approximately 30 cm, otherwise streaks may form on the surface.
To ensure uniform coverage, the varnish must be applied in 2-3 layers with intermediate drying for 20-30 minutes.

Additional information:
Polyvinyl butyral (or PVB) is a resin primarily used for applications requiring strong bonding, optical clarity, adhesion to many surfaces, strength, and durable flexibility. It is prepared from polyvinyl alcohol by reaction with butyraldehyde. The main application is laminated safety glass for automobile windshields. Trade names of PVB films include KB PVB, Saflex, GlasNovations, Butacite, WINLITE, S-Lec, Trosifol and EVERLAM. PVB is also available as 3D printer filament, which is stronger and more heat resistant than polylactic acid (PLA).
PVB resins (supplied by the manufacturer in powder or granular form) are also used in a number of applications including technical ceramic (temporary) binders, inks, and transfer ribbons. inks, paints and coatings (including laundry primers), binders for reflective sheets and binders for magnetic media.
PVB resin is especially useful when bonding to metals, ceramics and other inorganic substances.
