Sendust, Kool Mµ (Alsifer) - a family of powder materials designed for the manufacture of magnetic circuits and other electronic products. The commercial considerations of ferroalloy producers have created such a situation that different trade names of the alsifer family are common in different countries. The cores are made by pressing powder from an alloy consisting of 85% iron oxide, 9% silicon, 6% aluminum. The powder material is bound by a polymeric dielectric material. Thus, the structure of the Sendast core is a magnetic circuit with a non-magnetic gap distributed throughout the volume.
Alsifer cores have high saturation induction, low losses at high frequencies, good temperature stability, and very low magnetostriction. The standard range of alsifer is not too large, it includes materials with initial permeabilities of 26, 60, 75, 90, 125. The most popular are Sendast cores with high magnetic permeability - 125.
