ROM automatically detects battery voltage 12 or 24V.
The device can be used as a starting device directly on the car, providing a quick charge of the battery and the subsequent start of the car starter.
ROM can provide high long-term charging current (up to 30A) with low fluctuations (high fluctuating current at the output of most transformer chargers heats up the battery and leads to premature wear of the positive electrode).
The ROM has a smooth current regulator that allows you to set the current from 1 to 30 Amperes, and the value of the charging current will not depend on voltage fluctuations in the 220 V network.
All three charging modes have two stages:
1st stage is the main one - charging up to 80%, when the current hardly changes;
2nd stage saturation - ROM reduces the current, and the voltage is maintained at a given level.
Three charging modes allow you to charge any type of battery at different ambient temperatures, developed on the basis of many years of experience in the manufacture of chargers.
1) Start-up/storage mode
In this mode, the current is automatically set to the maximum level for a short time, ensuring safe and fast battery charging (all battery manufacturers do not limit the charging current to 13.8 V). The battery can be in this mode for an unlimited time (buffer charging mode).
2) "Charge" mode
The main charging mode for all types of lead-acid batteries, including gel and AGM. The current is set from 0.1 to 0.2 C, where C is the capacity of the battery in A.Ch. Charge time 8-12 hours. This mode can be used for starting in winter (for this, the regulator needs to set the maximum current), but do not forget about the overheating of the battery (not higher than 45°C).
3) "Recovery" mode
It is used to charge the battery when normal modes are not charged, for example, at low temperatures, at deep discharges in traction mode, as well as for charging alkaline batteries. In this mode, you need to control the temperature of the battery.
The device has self-healing protection against:
- "polarity reversal"
- short circuit
- from high voltage in the 220 V network
- from overheating
