The microscope contains a polarizing filter with linear polarization of the illumination, which can be rotated in the frame. Its application is based on the fact that part of the light reflected from the object of study is polarized. Partially polarized are all rays that are incidentally incident and reflected from dielectric surfaces. Therefore, using a polarizer, you can get an additional opportunity to change the brightness and contrast of different parts of the image.
A polarizing backlight filter can be an extremely powerful tool for removing reflections and highlighting objects that are wet, underwater, or behind glass.
The presence of a polarizing illumination filter in this microscope model can increase color saturation - and this is the only filter that cannot be reproduced by post-processing.
When the backlight is filtered, the amount of scattered light from the subject increases - resulting in a more colored image.
The microscope is excellent for micro-soldering, checking the quality of printed circuit boards, studying the structure of tissues and formations in the body, detecting inhomogeneity (anisotropy) of minerals, crystals, rocks, biological samples, metals.
