The pyroelectric infrared sensor detects infrared radiation based on a feature that changes the self-polarization of the pyroelectric material with temperature. The sensor uses ambient temperature compensation, which makes it possible to have high sensitivity over the entire operating temperature range.
It can be widely used in many applications, such as automatic lighting control, security and alarm systems, smart toys, etc.

      Серьезно.
      Во-первых , если Вы про модуль HC-SR501 , то там применяется немного иной датчик , а в частности 500BP, который дешевле.
      Во-вторых, Вас лично никто не заставляет его покупать.
