FKS-25T flux is a solid cast organic rosin-based flux modified with special substances to impart the ability to dissolve oxide films on metal surfaces well. At the same time, FKS-25T is not aggressive towards metals and does not need to be removed after soldering. FKS-25T consists exclusively of substances used in the food and cosmetic industries, which makes it safe for health. Compatibility with metals has been tested over 10 years of experimental use in electrical and radio engineering.
This flux has the ability to perfectly tin oxidized copper (except for brass and zinc), allows tinning of iron and steel, and also extremely effectively tinning the nickel-plated surfaces of LF and HF connectors, which ordinary rosin cannot do at all.
FKS-25T has a low melting point and remains in the liquid phase in a wide temperature range. Also, the alloy is free from the high brittleness inherent in pure rosin.
The flux does not contain amines, amino alcohols and their hydrochloric acid salts (ethanolamine hydrochloric acid), inorganic acids, ammonium chloride, anhydrides and other aggressive compounds. FKS-25T is completely non-toxic to humans.
Thus, the unique formulation FKS-25T is an effective replacement for obsolete rosin.
If necessary, residues of FKS-25T can be removed with alcohols and other polar organic solvents.
