Designed to protect low-voltage devices from overvoltage damage in the power grid, which may occur due to phase imbalance, a break in the neutral wire, as well as an overvoltage surge caused by lightning strikes into the power line or from damage to linear transformers. The response time is 25ns. Used in SPD Class III (Class C) to protect various power supply systems.
The principle of operation is based on "short-circuiting" the voltage in the controlled circuit when the permissible limit is exceeded. This prevents high voltage from entering the protected section of the network.
Rated operating voltage 220 volts, maximum operating voltage 275 volts. Nominal discharge current 40,000 Amperes. The maximum discharge current is 80,000 Amperes. Circuit breaker 100 Am.
