Collets are made of hardened tool steel with high elasticity, thanks to which they do not lose their shape and accuracy even after long-term use, have excellent clamping properties, provide high positioning accuracy of replaceable tools, ideal for performing particularly precise work.
Three lobes provide better load distribution and, as a result, better grip on the tool shank and less runout compared to 4-lobe collets.
Making three-lobed collets is much more difficult than more constructively simple 4-lobed ones.
Clamping shank diameters: 0.8mm to 3.2mm.
The kit includes a brass adapter for PROXXON collets for a Ø3 mm shaft.
The adapter is installed on the motor shaft with a slight interference, and is additionally fixed on the shaft with 4 locking pin screws, which are included in the kit (screwed into the shank, hexagon wrench heads).
