3M ™ 1500 Insulation Tape is a quality insulating tape with good resistance to abrasion, moisture, alkalis, acids and UV radiation (black only). PVC-based tape has good dielectric properties, elasticity and provides sufficient mechanical protection with a minimum number of winding layers. Designed for the primary electrical insulation of any splices and wires indoors and outdoors, as well as for the manufacture of bundles wires and cables, marking of wires and cables indoors.
The original 3M tape has a matte surface, on which the logo is applied - the letters "3M". Beware of counterfeits!
Recommended use: The tape should be wound at 50% overlap with sufficient tension to ensure uniform winding and coverage. In most cases, the width of the tape is reduced to 5/8 of the original, due to the tension during winding. It is recommended to wind the tape from the smaller diameter section to the larger diameter section. The last turn of the tape is wound without tension to prevent the ends of the tape from peeling off.
