We connect the A6 module with the FTDI converter according to the following scheme: A6 (vcc5) -> FTDI (vcc), A6 (gnd) -> FTDI (gnd), A6 (rx) -> FTDI (tx), A6 (tx) -> FTDI (rx).
On the computer, run a terminal program, for example, PORT MONITOR in the Arduino IDE. We select the port speed 115200.
The module turns on immediately after connecting the power supply.
After switching on, various information lines will appear in the terminal. To view the module version, send the "ATI" command (without quotes). To view the signal level, send the command "AT+CSQ", "+ CSQ:" will appear and two numbers separated by commas, the first number is the level. The value ranges from 2 to 30 (the more the better).
Try calling your SIM card. RING should appear in the port monitor.
