Chip voltage regulator module
L7812.
Chip
L7812is an
linear voltage regulatorpositive polarity in a TO-220 package. It is designed for load current
up to 1.5 Awith output voltage
12 in.
The input power supply can be as
DC and AC, due to the presence of a diode bridge of four diodes at the input of the module, as well as a filtering capacitor.
The L78XX series stabilizers use
internal overcurrent protection and overheating protection, making a power source based on it virtually indestructible.
Please note that an output current of 1.5A with a long-term load can be provided only with a small difference between the input and output voltages, power from an AC source, and also subject to the temperature regime of the microcircuit. You can get acquainted with the characteristics of the microcircuit in detail by reading on it
datasheet... It is also not recommended to turn on the stabilizer without load at high supply voltage.
The output of the stabilizer to the terminal block is duplicated on a 2.54mm pin strip for easy connection using breadboard jumpers.
