The design of the pliers, with minor modifications, is borrowed from the well-known STRIPAX model from the German manufacturer Weidmuller.
The same layout, allowing you to work in hard-to-reach places - for example, when repairing or upgrading an electrical panel. The pliers mechanism is hidden in a plastic case, which protects against short circuits if the tool accidentally falls on live parts.
But the main feature is the typesetting blades. They consist of a package of “floating” plates, taking the form of a conductor and evenly shearing off the insulation. Such blades cope well with wires of various types, both with single (stranded or mono-core, copper or aluminum), and with flat stubs. Knife width 9 mm.
In order not to damage the conductors and at the same time to cope with different insulation of different thicknesses, there is a force adjustment - a “slider” on the upper arm.
The adjustable stop limits the length of the stripped insulation to a maximum of 20 mm.
There is a wire cutter under the lower arm.
The mechanism works very smoothly, removing the insulation neatly and without jerks. At the end of the stroke, the mechanism roller rests against a soft rubber stopper.
