Litol grease was developed in the 70s of the XX century at the Central Institute of Aviation Fuels and Oils (CIATIM). She replaced such materials as CIATIM-201, 202 and 203.
Outwardly, Litol is a homogeneous ointment. Depending on the manufacturer and the raw materials used, its color can be from light yellow to brown, depending on the manufacturer.
The material is manufactured in accordance with GOST-21150-87.
In terms of composition, Litol is one of the simplest greases.
It is based on a mineral base oil thickened with lithium soap, with the addition of viscosity and antioxidant additives.

The shelf life of the grease is 5 years from the date of manufacture. But in practice it can be much more. When using material that has been stored for more than 5 years, you only need to make sure that its consistency has not changed.
