The MS8910 Tester is a very handy, small, battery-powered handheld tester for measuring surface mount (SMD) components such as chip resistors, capacitors and diodes. In addition, the MS8910 tester has a continuity (continuity) function. The MS8910 tester automatically detects the type of passive element under test, which allows measurements in a fully automatic component type determination mode. The MS8910 tester is designed to comply with the International Electrical Safety Standard IEC1010-1 and Pollution Level 2. The MS8910 also complies with Council Directive 89/336 on Electromagnetic Compatibility. The entire outer surface of the MS8910 tester is coated with resilient thermoplastic, and the two test contacts are gold plated to reduce their electrical resistance and prevent corrosion.
