Designed to charge all types of batteries, can be used as a 12V power supply with a maximum current of up to 5A. Short circuit and polarity reversal protection.
1) Charge level "Low" voltage 13.8V
It is used for charging and storing all types of batteries (including AGM and gel batteries), as well as when the charger is operating in the 12V power supply mode. The current is set by the regulator on the front panel to the maximum value. With a voltage of 13.8V, the battery can be connected to the charger for an unlimited time.
2) Charge level "Medium" voltage 14.4V Main battery level for all types of batteries, including gel and AGM . The current is set from 0.05 to 0.2 C, where C is the battery capacity in ampere-hours. Charging time 10-12 hours (at a current of 0.1C).
3) Charge level "High" voltage 16.2V
It is used ONLY FOR SERVICED BATTERIES and ONLY WHEN THE BATTERY IS REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE, when other levels “do not charge”. For example, with deep discharges of the battery, for charging at low temperatures (below -5°C), for charging alkaline batteries.
To restore lead-acid batteries, the current is set to 0.05C, the charging time during recovery is 10-12 hours.
For charging at low temperatures , the current is set at 0.1-0.2C, the charging time is 2 hours. Attention !!! Be sure to make sure that there is no ice in the battery to avoid an explosion of the battery.
For alkaline batteries, the current is 0.1-0.2C, the charging time is 10-20 hours.
