Pine rosin, radiomounting grade WW is produced from natural pine resin and features a high degree of purification. This ensures stable physico-chemical properties and a minimal content of mechanical impurities.
It is used as an active solid flux (contains abietic acid) for soldering copper and copper-containing conductors, printed circuit boards, and electronic components. It improves solder wetting, reduces surface tension, and effectively protects metal surfaces from oxidation during the soldering process.
Rosin residues after soldering are easily removed with high-purity isopropyl alcohol (≈99.9%). The crushed form is convenient for dosing and for preparing rosin-alcohol flux (RAF).
