Kit for assembling a frequency meter with a range of measured frequencies 1Hz-50MHz. The device also has the function of measuring the frequency of quartz resonators 4-40 MHz.
The device can operate in the mode of a frequency counter or digital scale of a receiver or transceiver. Frequency measurement ranges are determined automatically. If the frequency value is displayed in "kHz" - the dividing point blinks, if in "MHz" - it is constantly lit. Also, the circuit can make measurements taking into account the frequency offset, which will be added or subtracted from the measured value. The circuit can only measure signals of positive polarity with voltages up to 5V.
In digital scale mode, the device can measure the intermediate frequency, for example, by measuring the frequency of the reference oscillator of the SSB shaper or SSB demodulator. Then this value is memorized and can either be subtracted from the result of measuring the frequency of the smooth range generator, or added to it. When working with a direct conversion receiver, it works like a simple frequency meter.

When working as a digital scale, it is necessary to enter the value of the inverter, for which the correction must be made. First you need to press the S1 button and hold it until "PROG" appears on the display. Then release the button. Menu control is carried out by quick (moving through the menu) and long (selection) pressing this button.

Menu sections:

  • "OUT" - when selected, the device exits the menu without changes.
  • "ADD" - saving the measured frequency for addition.
  • "SUB" - saving the measured frequency for subtraction.
  • "ZERO" - resetting the frequency, the device will display frequency without IF correction.
To make a correction to an inverter, you must first measure this inverter. That is, you apply just such a frequency to the input of the device, for example, from a reference generator or maybe from a laboratory generator, at which you need to set the frequency equal to the frequency of the IF of a particular apparatus in which the scale will operate. Then, press S1 continuously until “PROG” appears. Then, by short pressing, switch to "ADD" if this frequency needs to be added, or to "SUB" if this frequency needs to be subtracted. Confirm your choice with a long press. That's all. Now the device will make the correction for the IF, which you have set, when measuring.

    Лишний раз убедился, что любой конструктор после сборки нужно "обработать напильником" :). Этот конструктор не стал исключением. После сборки устройство не подавало никаких признаков жизни, на индикаторах тишина. Помогло небольшое вращение подстроечного конденсатора, индикаторы радостно стали моргать и показывать всякий мусор. Подлечилось добавлением конденсатора 22p в паралель (подпаял с обратной стороны платы) с конденсатором С3 в схеме. Прибор заработал но стабильно врал на всех замерах кварцев занижая все измерения на 1,1 Mhz. Прошил прошивкой counter2.hex с сайта разработчика (https://www.qsl.net/d/dl4yhf////freq_counter/freq_counter.zip), и наконец все заработало. Надеюсь эта информация пригодиться вашим покупателям.

    Схема частотомера, приведенная в этом магазине, не соответствует печатной плате. 3 и 4 вывод микроконтроллера, необходимо поменять местами. Купил два конструктора, вот через некоторое время допаяю, отпишусь как работает. Мне необходимо чтоб плата частотомера была как можно уже, разведу и закажу другую печатную плату без стабилизатора на 5В. Так же на зарубежных сайтах ещё пишут что при питании частотомера 9В амплитуда сигнала с генератора превышает 5В, но не превышает 14В критической для входа микроконтроллера.
