ZB2L3 tester for measuring the capacity of batteries with voltages up to 15V. Can be used with batteries of any type, since the voltage of the lower discharge point is set by the user. The supplied capacity, current voltage and current are displayed on the built-in display.
The battery must be fully charged before testing. The discharge current is set by an external load resistor, which is connected to the tester terminals. When the voltage limit set at start is reached, the tester turns off the load, preventing deep discharge of the battery.
Main characteristics:
Supply voltage: 4.5...6 V (micro USB)
Current consumption: up to 70 mA
Battery input voltage: 1 - 15 V (resolution 0.01 V)
Cut-off voltage: 0.5 - 11 V (accuracy 0.1 V)
Maximum discharge current: 3 A (resolution 0.001 A)
Procedure for working with the ZB2L3 battery tester:
Connect the load resistor (terminals "R")
Observe the polarity, connect the battery (terminals "IN+" and "IN-")
Supply power through the microUSB connector.
When starting, the tester will display the battery voltage. If you then press the "OK" button, testing will begin and the discharge voltage will be determined automatically.
In order to set the discharge voltage manually, after applying power, press “-” or “+” on the module. Once the desired voltage is set, press the "OK" button, this will start the test.
During testing, three parameters are displayed on the screen in order: capacity in ampere-hours, discharge current in amperes, and voltage in volts. Three separate LEDs on the board indicate which parameter is currently displayed.
After the battery is discharged to the set voltage, the indicator begins to flicker, indicating the full capacity of the battery.
ZB2L3 error codes:
ERR1: - battery voltage is above 15 V;
ERR2: - battery voltage below cut-off voltage;
ERR3: - the battery does not discharge (high internal resistance, high load resistance or wire break);
ERR4: - discharge current is more than 3 A.
