This flux applicator is a copy of the BONPEN product of the well-known manufacturer Japan Bonkote Co., Ltd. (Japan).
Testing revealed only one noticeable difference from the original - the thread between the two parts is slightly shorter, so the protective ring is not installed in the protective position.
The rest of the functional properties correspond to the original.
The flux-marker consists of two reservoirs: the main one, with a capacity of 7 ml, and the intermediate one. When refueling with flux, the main reservoir is filled. Slightly squeezing the side surfaces of the handle, we create pressure in the main tank, a small amount of flux flows through the dispensing hole into the auxiliary tank. Due to the capillary effect, the liquid continuously wets the brush.
Moreover, it may not necessarily be a flux - the applicator can be filled with various cleaning compounds or just alcohol. It can also be used not only for soldering operations, but also for work with fine mechanics and similar purposes for cleaning small parts. The tip is wedge-shaped, the width of the working part is 5 mm.
The advantage of using the BON-102 applicator in comparison with other methods of applying flux:
-
accurate accurate dosing, economical application of flux;
-
reusable, unlike single-use flux-markers with flux filling during production;
-
the flux solvent does not evaporate, so the concentration of the solution remains unchanged.
