Polycaprolactone is a self-hardening thermoplastic. When heated, the mass melts, acquires plasticity, in this state it is easily molded by hand, or by filling into a mold. It is easy to visually control the degree of heating, because when the plasticity temperature is reached, the polymorph turns from dull white to transparent.
When cooled, the material becomes hard, durable, elastic, does not crack or shrink, and also regains a matte white color.
The temperature of the plastic state is+65°C.
It is easy to heat the plastic to a plastic state by immersing it in hot water, or using a construction hair dryer.
Thermoplastic cures when naturally cooled to room temperature.
Cooling can be accelerated by immersing the product in cold water.
